knitting

There are things in life that you have to do it only to know that it's not your thing. In simpler words, doing is the only way to find out. Jump on it and get your hands dirty just to get the answer. And it's not the same with doing abortive work nor only to fill your curiosity.

My case here is knitting. Surprise? don't be! Well, I have history of sewing ( I once sew totes and got it sold among my friends when I was fourteen. I mean, if some people were willing to buy it, then I didn't make a bad product hehehe). So, I thought that knitting is just another way of dealing with yarn. But..... I got it completely wrong!

It's Gita, a good friend of mine, who introduce me to knitting world. It looked so easy for her when she did it! During our light chat or while watching television, her hands kept working. And it amazed me to know that she finally produced a small pouch and a scarf from couple rolls of yarn.


So then i get myself a roll of yarn on my own. Plus a pair of needle, of course. Lalalalala, with a burning spirit (halah) I started my own scarf project. First line is ok. Second.. so-so. Third..I started to feel weary on my hand. Fourth, after many tousled knots, I gave up.

Another session ended pretty much the same. One time, i left my last line for a comic book. Others, i would be so boring of trying hard making the right knot. Thankfully, Gita was so patient on me :D.

After several attempt, I concluded that knitting is definitely not my thing! Yeah, I know it would be cool to be able to knit your own scarf, but what's the point if you don't enjoy doing it. Right?

Aahhh you must be surprise to see above picture, huh? How come i gave up on my knitting activity but I have the scarf finished? Hihihi. Thanks to Vebry, my beloved fella *Hugs! She offered to finish my scarf. So there it is, my new scarf!

Both of them, Gita and Vebry, are knitting freaks. Seems they do it as their relaxation activity! I think they should start their knitting business soon. So that i can begin to order another scarf to help me survive in this coldness of Ubud!
